Honorariums
Honorariums of $50 USD are available to approximately ten participants per workshop for travel to workshops. Funds are available to U.S. and Canadian residents.
In order to qualify for an honorarium, participants need to:
1) Be affiliated with either a non-governmental organization or a tribe or First Nation and,
2) Complete and submit the attached pdf form describing your interest and involvement with Great Lakes islands.
Applications for honorariums may be sent or emailed ahead or filled out at any workshop. If submitted at least two days in advance, honorariums will be confirmed prior to the meeting, but will not be distributed until attendance at meeting has been confirmed. We will distribute to qualified individuals on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Please limit honorarium requests to one person per organization, tribe, or First Nation per meeting to allow maximum diversity of participants. If we get more than ten requests from qualified individuals, we will select those with the closest ties to islands of the Great Lakes. If we have funds left over from any workshop, we will allocate to participants at other workshops.
***Honorariums are being provided through a grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Great Lakes National Program Office and National Fish and Wildlife Foundation***
